Excellent place to eat! Entres were stuffed Plantain with Oxtail and Saucy Shrimp with fried rice. For an appetizer the Pholorie was fantastic! Never had it before... The favor, the spice mmmm it was so good! The staff was very attentive and the owners personally stopped at each table to check in. As a fairly new place this should be on your radar. Will definitely make the drive from Williamsburg to eat here again.
One of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time. Food was amazingly fresh drinks were superb. Best jamaican food in the city for sure. None of that dried out stuff you usually get in most spots or overdone jerk. Can't say enough about this place. Authentic curry and jerk seasonings. We loved it
If you haven’t tried Curry’s, you’re missing out! I don’t know what’s my favorite the crispy cups or the plantains! Everything is delish, rice and peas, curry chicken, salmon, cabbage and the mac n cheese. I recommend the curry chicken crispy cup with mac, curry rolls or a stuffed plantain! They also have a bar and outdoor patio that’s decorated nicely. They have heaters out there and sometimes a DJ!I’ve also been to their food truck a few times as well!
I had an amazing experience at Curry’s! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and welcoming, with cozy lighting and tasteful decor that set the perfect mood for our evening. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely seemed to care that we were enjoying ourselves. Now, the food—wow. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The jerk chicken chowmein was cooked to perfection, and the crispy cups was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. You can really tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu had a great variety, with plenty of options for different tastes and dietary needs. Prices were reasonable, especially given the quality and portion sizes.I can’t recommend this place enough—whether you're going for a date night, family dinner, or just treating yourself, Curry’s is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back soon!
We recently dined at Curry’s restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! Between the elegant decor, warm, “happy-you’re-here” welcome, and the wefting aromatics, we just knew it was going to be a good night!!The flavors in every dish were an explosion of authentic Caribbean spices and fresh ingredients. The young lady who took care of us was excellent (forgive me for slipping on her name) making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Gabriel (the owner) was hands-on; our selections were well explained and ultimately exactly what we wanted. He also shared that the chefs are fromGuyana and Jamaica adding to the genuine authenticity of taste. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving a taste of Guyanese/ Caribbean cuisine!!
Beautifully designed restaurant.Authentic Guyanese cuisine with authentic Jamaican and Trini dishes as well.Sorrel, mauby, doubles, bakes, pholourie & much more!
I hadn't had jerk chicken since my trip to Jamaica, but I recently got some takeout from Curry's, and I’m thrilled with my choice. The jerk seasoning tasted authentically homemade, the chicken was perfectly charred, and the meat was wonderfully moist and tender. The generous serving of rice and beans was delicious, and the cabbage was cooked to perfection. I'm so glad I discovered this place. The service was excellent, and the interior was peaceful and spacious. I'm looking forward to dining in and trying more of their entrees and sides.
My Guyanese family was coming to Richmond to spend Christmas with me and I didn't know how to cook the traditional pepperpot and plait bread breakfast. I found Curry's online and I was so happy that Curry's accommodated me with a microwavable bowl of pepperpot on christmas eve day for a fair price. I already had plait bread. My family and I enjoyed immensely. It was perfectly made. Thank you for saving my christmas breakfast.
